One of the fun perks of being a Big Island wedding photographer, is getting to photograph the intense diversity in backdrops this island has to offer. Being home to eight climate zones, the Big Island is one of the most ecologically diverse places in the world! It really has just about anything anyone could need for a wedding location. From beach, rainforest, cliffs, snowy alpine desserts to subterranean lava tubes! Just make sure where you are is permitted for such activities!
So, yes, it can be daunting if you haven’t made a decision and with with an amazing team behind you, you really can make any place on the Big Island the wedding location of your dreams! Today I am sharing this beautiful set in the quaint town if Waimea all the way up about 2500 sq ft above sea level!
Big Island Wedding Photography at Anna Ranch In Waimea
Anna Ranch is part of the Anna Ranch Heritage Center. Anna Ranch is a 110 acre ranch and includes a Ranch house called Keanu‘i‘omanō originally acquired back in 1848. This wedding venue is an ideal, cool location with beyond stunning views of the Mauna Kea mountain and the rolling hills of Kohala. We started out the day at Rosanne’s parent’s home in Waikoloa. Then drove over to Anna Ranch for the ceremony and photos. One the way to the reception, we stopped at Anaehoomalu Bay for photos on the sand and the lava rocks! It was it was a short yet magical time at the beach, the stop really rounded out the diversity in their images!
